ReSalt aims to:
1) understand the fundamental processes during precipitation reactions in the reservoir and their influence on important reservoir properties such as porosity and permeability,
2) optimise operating conditions such as pressure, temperature and stimulation scenarios with a view to minimising precipitation,
3) develop numerical models that simulate physical processes during precipitation in the reservoir (mainly dissolution and precipitation),
4) verify numerical models by means of laboratory experiments and scale them up to complex reservoir systems.
ReSalt wants to make first steps towards a prediction of the temporal evolution of thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) properties of reservoir systems.
